來(lái)自古英語(yǔ)onbutan, a- 同on , -b同by, -ut為out詞根。字面意思為在外面的,后指大約。

about: about: [OE] About in Old English times meant ‘a(chǎn)round the outside of’; it did not develop its commonest present-day meaning, ‘concerning’, until the 13th century.
